PRORehab, p.c., a st. Louis-based chain of physical therapy clinics, was looking for a fresh new look on their website. The design that I came up with focused on dynamic photography of athletes from different sports. The images, used both in the home page header and in the secondary page sidebars, are loaded randomly into a Flash movie and faded in. The remainder of the design uses very subtle colors and boxes to contain the content. Primary and secondary navigation was greatly improved over the previous design.
If a major redesign wasn’t enough, the second purpose of the project was to develop the home page into a more usable part of the site. Previously, the page had been a staple of 1990’s design--a splash page. When I redesigned the page I placed functional components on it that would give a visitor quick and basic usable information: what the company does, how to find a location and the latest news item to show fresh activity.
This site redesign won a Silver ADDY from the Mid-Missouri Advertising Federation in 2004.
* Agency Work: This project was produced while working as Interactive Director at an agency in Mid-Missouri. All agency work that I display, unless noted, was executed by me from concept to design and code.
